Cal. 44-40. S# 420209. Rnd. 20" barrel with carbine sights & full length mag. tube. Saddle ring & stud on left side along with protective sheet. Walnut stock set w/ carbine buttplate. CONDITION: over 85% original blue with freckling brown patina on receiver, muzzle wear, light scratches; cleaned pitting & oxidation on front barrel band & around muzzle. Buttplate has worn finish at peak & toe along with brown patina mixed. Lever has original case colored in protected areas showing black spots & brown patina. Original wood finish shows large & sm. dings along with worn finish on forearm. Bore shows strong rifling with heavy residue & pitting on top section. (26-2124/MD). CURIO. $1,200-1,800.
